Bilateral trade between Thailand and Vietnam is anticipated to soar to $25 billion in the upcoming year.

The Thai Chamber of Commerce aims to increase bilateral trade between Thailand and Vietnam to $25 billion next year, with the help of young entrepreneurs and start-ups. The chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce highlighted the importance of cooperation and relationships between young entrepreneurs and start-ups in achieving this target. He emphasized the role of young entrepreneurs and start-ups as the “heart and soul” of the economy and a vehicle for change and innovation. The investment atmosphere is said to be healthy with political stability. Both countries will work to facilitate trade and eliminate trade barriers through supply chains, while also boosting the grass-roots economy and supporting local entrepreneurs. An official from the Thai Start-up Association stated that the partnership between Thai and Vietnamese start-ups will strengthen the economies of both countries and the Southeast Asian region as a whole. The potential of Thai start-ups to contribute to the economy is estimated to be up to 30 billion baht. It is predicted that by 2040, ASEAN will become the world’s 4th largest market.
