The Government Lottery Office to Launch Sale of Digital Lottery Tickets

The Government Lottery Office (GLO) will be introducing the sale of digital lottery tickets through registered lottery dealers on March 17th. This new initiative provides buyers with an additional channel to purchase lotteries at the controlled price of 80 baht. GLO Director Lt-Col Nhun Sansanakom mentioned that lottery dealers with contracts will be allocated a quota of digital tickets, which can be sold through the GLO’s website, www.glolotteryshop.com, starting March 17th for the April 1st draw.

Process for Buying Digital Lottery Tickets

Dealers will still be able to sell physical lottery tickets, with each dealer limited to using one device to access the GLO’s website via the Pao Tang application. Buyers must utilize the Pao Tang app to pay for their chosen digital tickets within a specified time frame. If not, the tickets will be returned to the dealers, as they are non-transferable. Digital lottery tickets have been available since 2022 via the Pao Tang platform, with approximately 23 million tickets available for every bi-weekly draw.
