EASA and CAAT signed a memorandum to enhance Thailand’s civil aviation through collaboration on regulations, licensing, and harmonizing practices aligned with ICAO guidelines, including a technical study visit.
The State Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAT) have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance civil aviation cooperation. This partnership aims to improve Thailand’s aviation operations, focusing on air operations, airport regulation, and the licensing process.
The agreement seeks to align regulations and best practices within global civil aviation frameworks, adhering to guidelines by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) under the Chicago Convention.
A 15-member Thai delegation will visit EASA headquarters for three days to study regulatory frameworks and operational practices. Over the visit, they will participate in sessions led by technical staff and presentations from Aena and Iberia Express at Madrid-Barajas Airport.
