Seasonal Opening and Closing Schedule of Attractions in Thailand’s National Park System

The Tourism Authority of Thailand advises tourists on the opening status of national parks, which may close seasonally for weather or ecological reasons. A detailed status list is available online.

Bangkok, 1 October 2024 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is informing tourists about the operational status of the country’s national parks, where they can appreciate Thailand’s stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife.

Each year, certain attractions in Thailand’s 156 national parks temporarily close based on weather and park conditions to ensure visitor safety and allow ecological recovery. These closures often occur during the rainy season due to extreme weather conditions.

The National Park Office has compiled a list of the open, closed, and partially opened attractions, which is available for download via their website. Visitors are encouraged to check park regulations before their visit and can contact the National Park Office for further assistance.
