The government has announced “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism Year 2025” in collaboration with six prominent global tourism companies, aiming to attract over 40 million foreign visitors and generate 3.4 trillion baht in revenue next year. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra highlighted cultural experiences, lesser-known attractions, and local goods as core components of this initiative during a recent roundtable meeting.
Key strategies include promoting unique Thai culture, discovering “hidden gem cities,” and offering five essential activities for visitors. The prime minister emphasized enhancing tourism revenue by 7.5%, alongside promoting global events and festivals to enrich tourists’ experiences.
The government plans to address infrastructure needs and reduce bureaucratic hurdles through a new tourism task force. Executives from participating companies expressed their commitment to improving connectivity and supporting tourism growth, underlining Thailand’s potential as a leading global destination.
