Tourists Descend on Thailand’s Phu Ruea Mountain as Temperatures Plummet to 9°C

Hundreds of tourists visited Phu Ruea mountain in northern Thailand to enjoy stunning views and cool weather while taking selfies amidst fog and forests, urging visitors to keep the area clean.

BANGKOK: On Saturday, November 9, hundreds of tourists gathered on Phu Ruea mountain in Loei, northern Thailand, to witness the sunrise. By 6:30 a.m., the temperature at the summit dropped to a brisk 9 degrees Celsius. The mountain, part of Phu Ruea National Park, rises 1,365 meters above sea level and offers breathtaking views of fog-laden landscapes framed by lush forests.

Visitors enjoyed the cool weather and stunning vistas, with many capturing the moment through selfies. The Phu Ruea Café, located near the parking area, became a popular stop for guests seeking refreshments amidst beautiful pine trees.

An official from the national park encouraged tourists to maintain cleanliness and adhere to designated camping areas for safety and environmental preservation. Conveniently, Phu Ruea National Park is situated 60 kilometers from downtown Mueang, easily accessible via car or chartered bus from Loei Airport.
