Subia, Tan, and Castronuevo Claim Team Bronze in Thailand

A Philippine team of young chess players won bronze in the under-11 girls category at the 18th Asian Schools Chess Championships in Bangkok from December 1-11.

A skilled group of young chess players from the Philippines achieved notable success by winning a bronze medal in the rapid event at the 18th Asian Schools Chess Championships. The tournament took place in Bangkok, Thailand, from December 1 to 11.

The team consisted of Woman National Master Millery Gen Subia from Cabanatuan City, Mary Janelle Tan from Cagayan De Oro City, and Elle Castronuevo from Cavite City. Their exceptional performance earned them a third-place finish.

Competing in the under-11 girls category, these talented players showcased their skills on an international stage, making their country proud with this accomplishment.
