NEC Thailand and Umong Municipality have partnered to develop a digital healthcare platform for improved elderly care, integrating technologies for safety and remote healthcare under the Smart City initiative.
NEC Thailand has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Umong Municipality in Lamphun Province to develop a digital technology platform focused on improving elderly care and assisting dependent patients, including those who are homebound or bedridden. This initiative aligns with their vision to transform Umong Municipality into a Smart City.
The project will start with a digital healthcare platform linked to local medical facilities, aiming to enhance the long-term care of elderly and chronically ill patients. This platform is expected to streamline the workflows of medical personnel and caregivers, enhancing overall efficiency.
Additionally, the partnership will implement innovative solutions, such as “Fall Detection” technology, to improve safety for elderly care. Plans to incorporate advanced technologies and IoT devices aim to modernize healthcare services. Leaders from NEC Thailand and Umong Municipality expressed their commitment to expanding these initiatives to other municipalities, ultimately contributing to a healthier, more sustainable society.
