Thailand’s Tourism Authority launched “TAT Connex,” an influencer marketing platform, to enhance tourism visibility, attract travelers, and align with digital transformation trends, particularly targeting Chinese tourists.
Thailand is revolutionizing its tourism marketing by leveraging the influence of social media personalities. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched “TAT Connex,” an influencer marketing platform designed to elevate the visibility of local tourism businesses and attract more visitors to the country.
This platform will connect diverse influencers, including bloggers and celebrities, with tourism-related businesses across multiple categories. TAT’s Governor, Thapanee Kiatphaibool, highlights that this initiative is a significant part of Thailand’s strategy to digitally transform its tourism sector post-pandemic.
In addition to TAT Connex, the authority is targeting Chinese tourists with various campaigns. By hosting key Chinese influencers, TAT aims to restore confidence and boost tourism, striving for 8.2 million visitors from China in 2024, as part of its goal to attract 40 million tourists overall.
