SET joins hands with partners to launch the 4th year of Care the Whale: Zero Waste Station, extending waste sorting to multi-layer plastic

SET, SPC, OSP, and PRINC collaborated on the “Care the Whale: Zero Waste Station” project in Khung Bang Kachao. The initiative aims to change waste management behavior and promote environmental sustainability.


Enhancing Environmental Sustainability in Khung Bang Kachao

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), along with private sector collaborators such as Wat Chak Daeng, Saha Pathanapibul pcl (SPC), Osotspa pcl (OSP), and Principal Capital pcl (PRINC), is committed to promoting environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life for residents of Khung Bang Kachao in Samut Prakan province. Through the “Care the Whale: the Zero Waste Station – Khung Bang Kachao” project, now in its fourth year, the initiative aims to encourage waste segregation at the source, with a specific focus on recyclable multi-layer plastic to address environmental concerns. The project targets a significant increase in the amount of waste separated by the community for processing in 2024.

SET Executive Vice President Kirati Kosicharoen highlighted SET’s commitment to promoting sustainable business practices, particularly focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
