BANGKOK, 18 June 2019 (NNT) – The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency has co-opted the Suvarnabhumi Civilization with Geo-Informatics and the Space Technology project to conduct studies, research and connection with the ASEAN region.
Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency Director Anon Sanitwong na Ayutthaya, said that the agency has spent some three years from 2017 to 2019 on the implementation of the project by compiling historical and archeological data for study and research on Suvarnabhumi civilization and trade.
Data has been analyzed on the basis of Five Diamond Values of Suvarnabhumi, including geographical and resources value, settlement and state development value, scientific, technological, academic and manufacturing value and commercial, service, art and cultural value.
Suvarnabhumi civilization dates from 2,000 years ago. The Five Diamond Values were analyzed to find connections with the ASEAN region which could lead to cooperation in development and shared value creation efforts among the ASEAN member states. Knowledge of the Suvarnabhumi civilization which was very prosperous in its time, may inspire a sustainable development of creative, economic innovation from community level to higher levels.
