Following an impressive performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, the contingent, which secured six medals—one gold, three silver, and two bronze—captivated fans as they traveled in an open-top bus. Enthusiastic crowds lined the streets, proudly waving national flags and capturing the moment on their phones.
The event highlighted the triumphs of standout athletes, including taekwondo champion Panipak Wongpattanakit, who earned the nation’s only gold medal. Kunlavut Vitidsarn made headlines by winning Thailand’s first Olympic badminton medal. Additionally, the weightlifting team returned to the Olympics with three medals, while Janjaem claimed a boxing bronze.
Organized by the National Sports Development Fund and the Sports Authority of Thailand, the parade culminated at Government House, where athletes received substantial cash rewards amounting to 65.9 million baht. Olympic medalists are entitled to financial bonuses and monthly salaries for 20 years, reflecting their remarkable achievements on the global stage.
