Thailand has received 9.47 million foreign tourists and generated 391 billion baht of revenue so far this year, with most visitors coming from Asian nations like Malaysia and India. In 2022, the number of tourist arrivals rose to 11.15 million, but this is still far below the 40 million international arrivals in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism sector contributes about 20% to Thailand’s GDP and employs about 15% of its workforce, making its recovery crucial for the country’s economic and social development.
