Bangkok, 29 July 2023 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and EVA Airways Corporation signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to collaborate on promoting Thailand’s tourism. This partnership aims to benefit both parties by utilizing EVA Air’s global route network to increase visitor numbers from key global markets to Thailand.

The LOI was signed by Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Americas, and Mr. Charlie Pan, EVA Airways Corporation Executive Vice President, Passenger Management Division, during a signing ceremony in Bangkok.

In attendance were Mr. Yuthasak, Mr. Tanes Petsuwan, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and the South Pacific, Mr. Clay Sun, and Mr. Jackie Kang, EVA Airways Corporation General Manager of Thailand branch office.

The LOI focuses on promoting Thailand as the preferred tourism destination through EVA Air’s extensive route network. TAT will assist EVA Air in attracting passengers from key strategic markets by providing support to tour operators and travel agents across the airline’s network through promotional giveaways, packages, incentives, and marketing campaigns.

EVA Air operates 28 direct flights per week between Bangkok and Taipei, daily flights between Bangkok and various cities in Japan (Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Naha, Kansai, Fukuoka, Komatsu, Sendai, and Sapporo) via Taipei, four flights per week between Bangkok and Seoul, South Korea via Taipei, and flights between Bangkok and several cities in China (Beijing, Nanjing, Hanzhong, Tianjin, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Chungqing) via Taipei. Additionally, there are flights between Bangkok and Brisbane, Australia via Taipei.
